I've been working a lot on my digital artwork and wanted to share with you one of my latest pieces ... a piece I did today, actually!
I was doing some random sketching and it turned into a Warhammer 40k drawing. I'm deathly afraid to color the piece ... but may add to it in the future. I used a Microsoft Surface Pro, and the program is called Clip Studio Paint (formerly Manga Studio)
Anyway the scene below is two highly stylized Imperial Guard Stormtroopers ... heavily influenced by Kasrkins. The guy in the back was added to give the drawing some more depth, he's proudly holding up the body of a dead Grot--because hey, why not?
Anyway let me know what you think in the comments below! What're some of your favorite fandom artworks, 40k or otherwise? I'd love to see!
I'm excited to share a gorgeous bit of concept art done by my good friend Gary (see more of his work here and the work for his upcoming graphic novel here) for my upcoming novella "The Journal and The Stone" which should be hitting kindle soon after it goes through a bit of formatting and some final proof reads.
"The Journal and The Stone" is a fantasy novella set at 30,000 words. It follows a young gnome named Klane as he ventures out into a world unknown to return the last written words of a father to a son. Entangled in the shadowy world of a mysterious cult and the dangers of urban insurrection, the quest to return a simple journal may lead to more excitement than Klane could have hoped for, and the chance to set sail on the adventure of a lifetime.
Looking to have this novella out before the new year on Kindle ... and maybe even print?!
Anyway, will probably be posting an excerpt from the novella in the next week or two. Let me know what you think of the cover! I'm excited to see the finished product.
As always, keep writing! Feel free to connect with me through the site, on Twitter, or through Facebook.
Check out Gary's The Patrons while you're at it!
I post on this blog rather sporadically as some of you may have noticed! As I balance out writing with "the day job" I will do my best to post more consistently.
I am also posting my latest novel "Traitor's Games" piece by piece on Wattpad. Revision 3 is almost finished but reader feedback is exceptionally valuable and wattpad offers a good way to get granular comments and polish improvements on the manuscript! See the link at the bottom of the site under my connect info for more ways to view content.
In the future I plan to have a set schedule for posting about other writing-related things, or topics in my interest field such as Table Top War Gaming and Video Games.
Thank you for your support and feedback!
